mixing's a bit muddy but everything else is great!

LawnReality responds:

Thank you!

is that kick a Rytmik sample, or am i crazy? Sounds like someone throwing an orange at a wall.

Needs more layers, 1 instrument and no drum variation sounds really bland. Also, sounds like you purposely found every bad default instrument and made this with it. And these melodies are boring with no actual harmony. its just a 1 oct arp changing notes...

at least its not ridiculously loud or badly mixed

GMDClazzi responds:

I had to say, this thing was very rushed at all. I might be making something better like all the other tunes I made (heard of them? :) ).

I have to be honest, this release was actually the crappiest among all the crap I made. I am really sorry for it.

Cheers bro! Thank you!

Did you sample Event Log or is it just the same sample? I noticed the piano sound is the same :p

I like this a lot, but :15 sounds a bit inconsistent for some reason, like it's transitioning into another song.

Drums are perfect, where do you get them?

Xorberax responds:

I was wondering if anyone would notice the piano sample that I used in Event Log; in-fact there are a few re-used samples from my previous beats :P

0:15 is intentional.

I do the drums in FL Studio's FPC VSTi using one-shots from various drum sample packs (i.e. drum beats arranged myself).

-- thanks for the review!

btw, check out my new behind the scenes vid of the beat in FL Studio https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpeEl8teWCE&feature=youtu.be

Nice and relaxing, sounds like a tropical resort. <3

This gave me super cool chills. Love the feel <3

Xorberax responds:

you're the kind of person who deserves sound

how do dis detune piano tell m e p ls

love it

stinky2003 responds:

For flstudio12 I used fl keys. U just set the detune in the bottom right.

needs some better reverb and EQing to make it sound fuller. other than that, it's perfect

SilverPoyozo responds:

It does, I'm not that great with mixing and the VST is not the best. Thanks for the criticism!

quality song <3

stinky2003 responds:

thanks man :)

pretty cool, everything's nice except the highest pitched growl is kinda loud and hurts my ears. also the drop is missing hi hats man

Zazzy responds:

Yeah, this was more of a quick thing, it's not too structured. It's supposed to be a bit more minimalistic than most dubstep, focusing more on big sounds rather than complexity. I'll turn down the highs on the basses for sure, I was just trying to get it down xD

Just note I ran this buy a few audio-fanatic friends and they didn't think anything of the high end on the bass, so you could just be listening to it too loudly xD

you probably should have done it in the true 8-bit style (2 pulse 1 tri 1 noise), and maybe some 25% somewhere, too? When it gets to one square it sounds really empty, like a skeleton of a song. Also lots of notes are missing :p good drums tho

Preds responds:

Yeah, not a "Real" 8 bit, but, I did in 3 hours, its not to take it seriously, I was bored, but, yeah, its empty, to be honest, I will get better on 8 bit themes on the future!
But, thanks for the review :]
